Project Description:
Our brief from our client was to produce a large two storey side extension and a single storey rear summer house extension leading from the dining room. During the design process our client also included a new extensive loft conversion. The main side extension was created to include an increased kitchen and utility room and new garage to the ground floor and two further bedrooms one with ensuite and a new link staircase to the proposed loft office room.
The main client emphasis was on the additional to remain the matching qualities and architecture of the original property, to provide the overall finished look of a large detached executive property. One of the main design and functionality issues regarding this property was that on entry the property had no real flow or direction, to create more flow and direction specific designs of wood flooring were installed to provide a delicate soft pattern that framed the hallway and directed visitors and guests to the main hub of the home the new increased kitchen area.
The construction works were carried out by Plan-it Construction Ltd and was fully completed within 26 weeks.
