We were commissioned to design a single storey kitchen extension that had multi-functions, it needed to include a country kitchen, living room, utility and WC. Within the design we included a warm roof construction system to allow the ceilings to be vaulted creating an illusion of space and height with additional symmetrical skylights to maximise day light during the day and frame the sky at night.

We included a bespoke full height queen truss within the design to provide architectural separation between the new kitchen at the centre of the extension and the garden lounge room to the rear. The inclusion of the queen truss transforms the interior space.

The overall finished design provides a spacious, light and functional room during the day and a calm, relaxing retreat during the evening.
